Introducing the new Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4

Following on from my previous blog ( http://t.co/6F6DTQP6Tx ), it seems that the rumours were true and the successor to the Gallardo will indeed be the all new Huracán LP 610-4.
The new edition is a big step for the super car creator, it will be the second baby lambo released since the company was taken over by the Volkswagen group, and there is no doubt they will be aiming to achieve the same kind of sales that they had with their most successful car to date, the Gallardo.

From the images released we can see that the cars styling has been strongly inspired by the Aventador, with its sleek and smooth shape, a menacing front grill and striking low slung door lines it immediately lets you know that it means business.

To back up the attention grabbing looks, Lamborghini have straddled a monstrous V10 in the back, with clues its in name, the “610” indicates the power that this beast packs, spurred on by 413 pound-feet of torque. And the 4 in the “610-4” tells us that the 5.2litre direct injected 10 cylinder engine is dispatched via a four wheel drive system which is aided by a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

If you’re a fan of stats, how about these: the Huracán will reach 62 miles per hour in a mere 3.2 seconds, 124 mph in 9.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 201 mph. Also, if you happen to be in any way environmentally conscience, which is extremely unlikely if you’re lucky enough to be able to afford this car, 18.5 miles per gallon are achievable with their new stop-start system (I’m sure the polar bears will sleep tight knowing this).
To keep their drivers happy Lamborghini have also installed multiple driving modes in the Huracán, which can be selected via a driving dynamics selector switch in the steering wheel – from traction-oriented on the road to extreme performance on the race track. “There are three set-ups of the dynamics system: STRADA, SPORT and CORSA. “The different modes ensure extensive modification in road behaviour of the Huracán.”

Treating us to a special christmas gift Lamborhini have also released a dramatic 4 part short entitled “Hexagon project” revealing the Huracán’s throaty start up and epic engine soundtrack, as actors break in to the Lambo factory and take the car for an unauthorized spin.

Enjoy…
