A new Guinness World Record has been set for the longest tandem drift ever recorded.

The new world record was set by Professional Drifter James Deane, from Ireland and Professional Racing Driver Ahmad Daham.

The pair expertly drove a pair of Nissan 370z’s into the record books with a flawless display of twin drifting in front of a big crowd in Global Village last night. The duo drifted for 45 minutes in tandem, covering a 100 laps of the track and a distance of 28km in total.

Commenting on the new world record James Deane said:
I was in the chase position for 45minutes, 28km none stop door to door action, 100 laps of the track with over 200 transitions. Massive thanks to Nissan and the Prodrift Academy UAE for this amazing opportunity. “
