Bike maker and car creator KTM has released details on a new hard top racing variant of their previously released X-BOW.
The X-BOW GTR was a joint development between KTM and REITER Engineering, who are known for customising performance cars and turning them into fully fledged racing machines.
Details in terms of the cars performance and specifications have yet to be revealed and only a single teaser image of the new GTR has been released. The image only shows off the cars silhouette as it sits next to the previously released X-BOW.
From the image you can see that the X-BOW GTR has a much more menacing outline when compared to the open top X-BOW. It has definitive race car looks, with its low curved nose that reminds me of a lotus design and a roof line that sweeps back in to a visually pleasing point, where it draws your eyes to the very straight spoiler that dominates the rear of the car.
Although the cars performance credentials have yet to be confirmed, KTM have stated that the car will be eligible to race in the European GT4 Series and available to buy from April 2015, with prices will starting from €139,000 (£100,000).
