British based supercar creator McLaren has released the first video footage of the McLaren P1 GTR racing on the track alongside the iconic McLaren F1 GTR.
Two decades after the McLaren F1 GTR swept the board at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the McLaren P1™ GTR will debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in production form. The striking track-only model is finished in a livery inspired by one of the most iconic colour schemes of modern-day motorsport, in homage to a car, which has reserved its own place in history – the yellow and green McLaren F1 GTR, chassis #06R.
McLaren unveiled pictures of the P1 GTR in its iconic racing livery for the first time last week, along with all the details on the track-dedicated hypercar that is set to make its world debut at the 85th International Geneva Motor Show.
The video is just over a minute and half long but it’s sure to get car fans pulses racing as the two iconic cars are bumper to bumper as they race around the McLaren test track.
The McLaren P1 GTR will cost £1.9 million and you must already own a P1 to be eligible to buy one. The McLaren 675 LT and the 650S LE MANS edition will also be accompanying the P1 GTR as they are officially unveiled at next weeks Geneva motor show.
