For the Love of Cars

If you haven’t heard about it yet, there is a new series on channel 4 called “For the Love of Cars”.

“Actor and car fanatic Philip Glenister and internationally renowned car designer Ant Anstead are on a mission… To scour the barns and lock ups of GB for wrecked treasures to bring to life – as perfectly as is humanly possible.”

Last Sunday the show kicked things off, the first episode dealing with the restoration of a classic MK1 Ford Escort Mexico. While tonight’s episode saw the duo restore a MK1 Landrover. Other cars that will feature in the series are the Austin Mini Cooper, an MG TC and a DeLorean DMC-12.
Next Sunday at 8pm the team look at the history of the Triumph Stag, before buying their own example to restore.
