According to company insiders the successor to the Bugatti Veyron will be capable of reaching 286mph, (18mph faster than the current Veyron) thanks to the introduction of hybrid technology. And with a 0-62mph time of around 2.3 seconds, this hyped up hypercar should be fit for the likes of the lightweight Ariel Atom in the acceleration stakes.
The new new car which is rumoured to be launched in 2016 is able to achieve these astonishing figures thanks to a four-wheel drive, hybrid powertrain featuring an uprated version of the Veyron’s quad-turbocharged 8-litre W16 engine. When combined the electric and the more conventional power sources should be good for 1,500bhp.
