Salon Privé has established itself as one of the most prestigious car shows on the motoring calender, bearing host to supercars, hypercars and stunning classics alike, the event gives visitors a rare opportunity to witness these impressive beauties in one place, at one time.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the organisers thought it only right to mark this occasion by allowing proceedings to unfold from 3-5 September at the stunning Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, the principal residence of the dukes of Marlborough, and the only non-royal non-episcopal country house in England to hold the title of palace.
On show were an outstanding array of vehicles that represented the pinnacle of engineering throughout the automotive ages. The latest and greatest hypercars from renowned marques including Aston Martin, Ferrari, McLaren and Pagani proudly adorned the meticulously maintained lawns, and were joined by some of the most tantalising and sought after classic cars, in both the concours section and within the auction tents.
Visitors and tourists at Blenheim Palace were able to appreciate some of the spectacular cars on display, as many of motors lined the grounds around the the main palace building, however on show in the exclusive Salon Privé village, were even more rare thoroughbreds, all in close proximity to each other, and surrounded by a unrivalled selection of lifestyle and luxury exhibitors who attended this year’s event.
The three-day spectacular included the Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance and Boodles Ladies’ Day, there were also some exciting firsts at this year’s Salon Privé, including the opportunity for visitors to test drive many of the desirable cars present. On the Saturday Horacio Pagani even made a surprise appearance and was joined by his family, who turned up to the event in a convoy of Zonda’s and Huayra’s, much to the delight of the crowds present on the day.
Salon Prive is an extremely well organised event with Blenheim Palace being the perfect setting for a car show with such magnificent and meticulous examples on display. I’d highly recommend the event to any prospective buyers, collectors or car enthusiasts who have a real interest or passion for premium supercars and classics.
