1:8 Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron

If like me you can’t afford a real Bugatti, Lego have made owning the £2.5 million hypercar a bit more realistic by launching a 1:8-scale Lego Bugatti Chiron set.

The Lego Technic Bugatti is made up of 3,599 pieces and is packed full of intricate details and touches. These include aerodynamic bodywork with an active rear wing, spoked rims with low-profile tires, detailed cockpit with movable paddle gearshift, and a very detailed W16 engine with moving pistons.

The model measures in at 56 cm long and 25cm wide, making it one of the largest Lego Technic car models ever produced, so you’ll need plenty of spare space if you want to showcase it. Inside there’s more to the model than first meets the eye, it features a LEGO Technic 8-speed gearbox with paddle gearshift and a steering wheel bearing the iconic Bugatti emblem.

Each individual model comes personalised with its own unique serial number, hidden away under the bonnet and this unlocks unique content on the Lego Technic website. The set also features a speed key which enables you to switch the active rear wing from handling to top speed position.

Also nestled discreetly under the bonnet, is an additional authentic Bugatti Chiron detail – the stylish Bugatti overnight bag.

The model features the classic bi-tone blue colour scheme reflecting the brand’s signature colour, and a set of identifiable stickers for additional detailing and authenticity.

The set also comes enclosed in an exclusive box and includes a ’coffee table’ style collectors booklet with the all important comprehensive building instructions. Super-fans can also learn more about the inspiration behind the design with series of nine exclusive podcasts featuring Bugatti and LEGO experts.

This set may seem expensive, priced at £329.99 on the official Lego store, but when you consider that Bugatti Chiron road car prices start at £2.5m, you have to look at this model as a bit of a bargain.
