The all new 911 Carrera GTS

Good news for all you Porsche fans out there as the new 2015 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS has now been revealed.

The new brawnier 991 has a more aggressive front, a wider rear end, and sharpened design elements. Porsche say the rear is 44 mm wider than that of the 911 Carrera S and is much more driver focused… “And you feel it even faster. In every curve.”
The car will be offered in four different guises, a 911 coupe or cabriolet, both offered in Carrera 2 or Carrera 4 guises (rear wheel or 4 wheel drive). All of which, are more powerful than the Carrera S models beneath.

With 30bhp more power than the 911 Carrera S, the 3.8L Boxer engine in the new 911 Carrera GTS models teases out another tenth when accelerating, and according to Porsche a greater performance overall.
The engine with direct fuel injection (DFI) and VarioCam Plus develops a full 316 kW (430bhp) at 7,500 rpm, and achieves a maximum torque of 440 Nm at 5,750 rpm.
With optional Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), the 911 Carrera GTS takes a mere 4.0 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (and just two-tenths slower for the cabriolet verison), and has a top speed of 304 km/h (198mph).

The new 991 will be available in showrooms in the UK from November 2014 and prices will start from £91,098 for a 911 Carrera GTS Coupe and £99,602 for the Cabriolet. Expect to pay £4700 for the four-wheel drive option in either coupe or soft-top 911 GTS.
