Swedish supercar creator Koenigsegg is apparently set to unveil a new model at next months Geneva motor show, which will be called the Agera RS.

Exact details on the new car have yet to be revealed, however reports suggest that the Agera RS will be a lightened and more powerful version of the pre-existing Koenigsegg Agera R – which is already a real force to be reckoned with.

The Agera R is powered by a twin-turbo 5-litre V8 that produces 1100bhp. It will reach 0-62mph in an eye-watering 2.9 seconds and 0-124mph in just 7.5 seconds and has a top speed of 250mph. Being faster than its predecessor means the new and more focused Agera RS will likely sit between the flagship One:1 and the aforementioned Agera R – in the current Koenigsegg line-up.

The Agera RS could also be a real contender for the likes of the track focused McLaren P1 GTR – which will also be making an appearance at Geneva in March – and the Ferrari F XX K.
