BEN vintage and classic car show 2015

Last week (Saturday 4 July) I travelled to sunny Surrey to a popular motoring event that’s organised by BEN, the automotive industry charity, the BEN vintage and classic car show/fete.

There was an extraordinary array of vintage, classic cars and motorcycles on display, with participants starting off at Ascot Racecourse and travelling in convoy through scenic Windsor Great Park to Broomhall Recreation Ground in Sunningdale.  All of the rally entrants who gathered at Ascot then became the central focus for the BEN Summer Fete, which opened to the public at 12.30pm.

This was the 46th time the Rally & Summer Fete was put on by BEN and the event continues to grows in popularity every year. It always has huge family appeal thanks to the children’s activities, miniature railway, live music, food and refreshments and many other attractions. This year was no different, with car fanatics basking in the summer sun whilst taking in an unmissable display of historic vehicles.  All proceeds went to help support BEN’s Town Thorns Care Centre in Easenhall.
